Privacy policy

Updated: 18 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information is collected when you register for the RDY language add-on and in the customer area, why, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and your rights under the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981. This is a translation: the Hebrew text is the binding one.

1. Who is responsible

The information is the responsibility of RDY Technology. For any question, request or complaint about privacy, contact ydy: e-mail rdytehnology@gmail.com.

2. What is collected

In the registration form: first and last name, mobile number, e-mail (optional), the player's model, its serial number, the firmware version (optional), the shop it was bought at (optional), a photo of the serial-number sticker, and a photo or PDF of the purchase invoice. The invoice may show more details, such as an address, so you may hide anything we do not need: we need the seller, the date and the item.

Technical details: an encrypted fingerprint of the network address the form was sent from (not the address itself), to stop the form being flooded. Your choice of language is kept in a cookie in your browser.

In the customer area: your sign-in details, your licences and the payment status. We do not collect card details: you pay through Bit, PayBox or a bank transfer, with them.

Your consent to the terms of use and to this policy is kept with your registration: when you agreed, in which language, and to exactly which text.

3. Why

To handle your registration, check that the serial number is right and that the player was bought, issue the licence for your player, contact you by WhatsApp, phone or e-mail, give support, prevent misuse, and meet our legal duties.

You are not legally obliged to give the information. Without the details the form asks for, we cannot handle the registration or issue a licence.

4. The automatic check of the photos

When you attach the photos, your device reads the barcode and the text in them, to check that it is the serial-number sticker and that it is an invoice. Our server checks the barcode and a PDF's text again. The check happens on your device and on ours only: the photos are not sent to any outside service for analysis. The result is kept with the registration, and our team sees it together with the photos.

5. Who it is shared with

We do not sell information or pass it on for advertising. It is kept by service providers who hold it for us only: the site's hosting (Netlify), the database (Supabase) and file storage (Cloudflare R2). Some of them keep information outside Israel, under their safeguards and as the law allows.

When we write to you on WhatsApp, the message goes through WhatsApp (Meta). We will give information to an authority when the law requires it.

6. How long it is kept

The information is kept as long as it is needed for the registration, the licence and its support, and after that for as long as the law requires, to prove the consent and to defend against claims. A registration that was not approved is deleted at your request.

7. Security

Access to the information is limited to our team, and the connection to the site is encrypted. The photos are shown only to our team signed in to the portal. As with any system, we cannot promise absolute protection.

8. Your rights

Access: to ask to see the information kept about you (section 13 of the law). Correction and deletion: to ask us to correct or delete information that is not true, complete, clear or up to date (section 14). You may also ask us to delete your registration, subject to what the law obliges or allows us to keep.

Send requests to ydy: e-mail rdytehnology@gmail.com. You may also turn to the Privacy Protection Authority.

9. Cookies

On the add-on's pages we use only the cookies the site needs to work: your language choice and your sign-in to the customer area. We use no advertising cookies there.

10. Minors

Registration is for people aged 18 and over. A minor registers only with a parent's consent.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The current text is always on this page, with the date it was updated.
